Teaching Methodology

Introduction

Our approach to education is about making everyday learning experience delightful. The learning cycle is grounded on the simplistic yet extremely effective method of theme-based learning. Students are able to connect what they learn to how it affects their lives. With academic rigor comes a style of education that intertwines discovery and learning. Students are trained to continuously explore a lesson at different realms, inside and outside the classroom

Discovery is the buzzword, as our young scholars set forth on a journey of fun, creativity, and education-making it through breath-taking nature walks, fascinating field trips and intriguing sessions.

At 3+ years, we welcome them to an environment that will let them take in their surroundings, and soak up their world, and its rich mosaic of people, places and events.

At Pre - Primary level

Work means play as our pre-schoolers relate to their surroundings through educational games and group activities. Each hour is planned with care, as we ensure that learning is both exciting and educational.

At Primary level

Our students are now set to take on a more complex world. Drawing conclusions and joining dots, you'll see them gaily hopping from one experience to another. Our learning model at this level is completely thorough in structure, and comprises experiential and holistic activity. The fear of exams and tests is non-existent at S.M.P.P.S. Instead, regular and comprehensive assessments allow us to diagnose and remediate the learning gaps.

In Middle school

The emphasis is on acquiring in-depth conceptual knowledge The curriculum is research oriented and based on teamwork vis-à-vis discussions, group project work, discovery and exploration Personality development, value education and coping with peer pressure are stressed upon at this stage Students work in groups and make power point presentations on subject related topics. Parents are also invited for such presentations The concept of SMART Class-Study has been introduced to reduce stress levels of students. A synchronized study pattern is maintained between the course content of the board and that of the other Competition.

At Senior Secondary level

Science and Commerce are among the main academic streams. Various combinations of subjects are offered so that students can pursue their desired courses of study later in life An equal stress is laid on preparing students for the prescribed CBSE syllabus and on preparing the students for the various competitive entrance examinations Result oriented training is imparted by experienced professionals who target for total development and desired success The concept of SMART Class-Study has been introduced to reduce stress levels of students. A synchronized study pattern is maintained between the course content of the board examinations and that of the competitive entrance examinations Students have complete access to the various laboratories and library resources, specially designed for the study and research requirements of the senior level students
